Dr. Nabil Nasr from the Golisano Institute for Sustainability and the Rochester Institute of Technology Center for Remanufacturing & Resource Recovery is undertaking a new initiative, funded by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), to develop a strategic remanufacturing industry roadmap.
Nasr is a partner for the MERA-Golisano Annual Conference. Nasr has dedicated considerable time and effort to develop a survey that is designed to pinpoint barriers to growth in the remanufacturing industry. The information collected will shape the direction of policies and resources targeted toward remanufacturing.
Nasr says, "We are excited to announce a new opportunity for you to help influence the future of the remanufacturing industry. Researchers at the Rochester Institute of Technology Center for Remanufacturing & Resource Recovery, funded by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), are leading an effort to develop a strategic remanufacturing industry roadmap, in which they will identify challenges facing remanufacturing companies today and lay out recommendations for research and policies that will address these challenges across all sectors. The first part of this process is a survey which will help RIT’s Center for Remanufacturing and Resource Recovery (CR3) identify the challenges; and it is underway now.
"If remanufacturing is even a small part of your business, please take the time to answer this survey. A contribution of experiences from all sectors and company sizes is vital to establishing a roadmap that will benefit all. The survey typically takes only 15 minutes and, in return, RIT will send you a comprehensive report highlighting the state of your sector and the reman industry as a whole, so that you can see the full summary of the survey."
