Prestolite Electric achieves Caterpillar Inc. OE Supplier Quality Excellence Certification

Prestolite’s Arcade Division achieved the certification based on performance in several areas, including product quality, delivery, process control, customer service and continuous improvement.

Prestolite Electric, a manufacturer of alternators, starters and new-energy solutions, has achieved Platinum-level Supplier Quality Excellence Process (SQEP) certification from Caterpillar Inc., a manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines and other products.

Prestolite’s Arcade Division, the company’s manufacturing operation based in Arcade, N.Y., achieved the certification based on performance in several areas, including product quality, delivery, process control, customer service and continuous improvement. The division manufactures and supplies premium-quality starters and alternators used in several Caterpillar equipment models. Prestolite product engineering for North American customers is based in Novi, Mich.
