Noregon releases JPRO Professional 2017 V1 diagnostic and repair software

Feb. 28, 2017
“This is the most feature-rich version of JPRO we have ever released," Noregon Chief Technology Officer Dave Covington said. "We listened to customer feedback and focused on needs within the industry to continue to evolve the software."

Noregon officially launched the JPRO Professional 2017 V1 at TMC Nashville on Feb. 27. JPRO Professional is an in-shop diagnostic and repair solution for heavy and medium-duty vehicles in North America.

According to the company, JPRO is used by service centers and fleets seeking to increase the efficiency of their operations. Technicians cite JPRO for increasing productivity, while fleet managers commend the software for helping to minimize their vehicles’ downtime. Service centers often experience increased profits due to JPRO’s ability to educate technicians and empower them to repair vehicles faster with a higher level of accuracy.

“This is the most feature-rich version of JPRO we have ever released," Noregon Chief Technology Officer Dave Covington said. "We listened to customer feedback and focused on needs within the industry to continue to evolve the software. JPRO users valued our bi-directional tests like DPF regens, so we responded by adding more capabilities that technicians really need to do their jobs, such as ACM resets and cylinder cut outs.”

Some technicians say they view JPRO as a vital in-shop tool.

“As a former technician I recognize that techs want to fix trucks as accurately and efficiently as possible," said Jason Hedman, JPRO product manager. "We work hard to ensure that JPRO includes all the features needed to assist technicians in their day-to-day activities. Given the complexity of trucks today, we understand the benefit of diagnosing all issues within a single platform; regardless of the make and model of the vehicle. Techs don’t want to waste their time switching between various modules or using multiple pieces of software, so we alleviate the need for serialized diagnostics.”

Noregon offers JPRO Professional in multiple packages, including complete kits with a ruggedized laptop and all necessary cables and adapters, or customers can purchase JPRO Professional software a la carte. Sold as an annual subscription, customers will receive free upgrades and support throughout the life of their subscription.

Noregon islocated at booth No. 2304 at TMC. They have product experts available to answer attendees’ questions and offer product demonstrations.
