Direct-Hit combines the Identifix database with OEM repair and service information.

Christian Brothers Automotive, one of the nation’s largest automotive repair franchise groups, will exclusively use Direct-Hit, from Identifix, Inc., a Solera Holdings, Inc. company.

Identifix is one of the automotive industry’s largest online database of continually updated and experience-based service, maintenance and repair information. Identifix Direct-Hit combines this database with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) repair and service information.

Direct-Hit is currently used in more than 58,000 auto shops and by approximately 300,000 automotive service professionals. Christian Brothers Automotive will offer, promote, train and support the technology in all 182 locations across the country. As the sole provider of diagnostic and repair solutions, Direct-Hit software will allow every vehicle that visits a Christian Brothers Automotive to be diagnosed and repaired faster, making the shop more efficient and providing better customer service through accurate repairs, the company says.

“We are delighted for Christian Brothers Automotive to expand our Direct-Hit product to their franchises as we share a similar mission of creating an uncommon customer service experience driven by a desire to do the repair properly and accurately the first time”, Cristopher Hollingsworth, Solera's general manager of Global SMR and Enterprise Solutions.

Through Direct-Hit, technicians and shop owners across the franchise group network will have access to a fix database of over 1,500,000 confirmed fixes along with comprehensive OEM information covering more than 98 percent of vehicles and full color wiring diagrams.
