Wabco "greatly simplifies" the coupling operation of tractors and trailers via its advanced development functionality – remote controlled coupling, the company says. The tractor autonomously locates a specific trailer while controlling the vehicle's steering and its speed within defined parameters. The driver exits the vehicle cabin and then starts to remotely control the tractor, including its speed and chassis height. Coupling assist advances vehicle automation, safety and operational efficiency.
