With the Snap-on EVAP Smoke Machine, No. EELD100A, technicians can diagnose eight of the top 10 emission diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). The EELD100A contains Diagnostic Smoke technology for EVAP testing and general purpose leak applications, including diaphragms, wind and water, intake manifolds and vacuum hoses. The patented UltraTraceUV non-contaminating dye solution, combined with LED/UV light and specialized glasses, allows technicians to accurately and quickly identify the leaks that smoke alone cannot. The variable flow control can be used to reduce the flow and help pinpoint the exact location of a leak. The smoke machine conveniently functions with OEM-specified nitrogen, portable CO2 bottle (optional) or shop air.
