PTEN's coveted annual Innovation Awards program is now accepting nominations for the most cutting-edge automotive tools and equipment that entered the market in 2021.

There are 25 categories, ranging from diagnostics and ADAS to power tools and shop equipment. These products, introduced or significantly updated within the last year, are evaluated based on their ability to make vehicle diagnosis and repair easier and more efficient, as well as make shops more productive.

Our panel of professional automotive technician judges are asked to score each nominated product based on five criteria: time savings, task simplification, uniqueness, level of improvement over current tool, and ease of use. Each product is given a score out of 20.

As part of our commitment to continuous improvement of PTEN and the Innovation Awards program, we will not be publishing all entrants in 2022. Only the products our judges have selected as the well-deserving winners will be published in the August 2022 issue of PTEN and Professional Distributor. Those with the highest scores will be interviewed by a PTEN editor and be featured in a monthly column in each following issue of PTEN (one winner per issue).

The winning companies will also be honored during a special Innovation Awards ceremony at the 2022 AAPEX Show in Las Vegas.

**Early bird deadline is March 4. Final deadline is March 25.**

Additionally, all submissions will be eligible for PTEN’s People’s Choice program, an awards program in which winners are selected by PTEN readers. The People's Choice winners will be published in the October issue of PTEN and Professional Distributor.
