This bulletin applies to 2015 Audi A3 Sedan, A3 Cabriolet, A4 Allroad, A4 Cabriolet, A5 Coupe, A5 Cabriolet, RS 5 Coupe, RS 7 and A8 vehicles. If the MIL is on and DTC P045600 (EVAP system leak detected NVLD/very small leak) is stored in the ECM, and drivability is not affected, the NVLD pressure switch may erroneously detect a very small leak.

New NVLD pressure switches and NVLD filters are now in production. Replace the NVLD pressure sensor G400 and the NVLD filter with the latest part number available. Apply a small amount of grease to create a film on the outer surface of the grommet before installing the sensor (Audi recommends grease G 000 150). An incorrectly installed sensor and grommet can cause an EVAP leak and repeat failures. Wrap several layers of electrical tape behind the grommet to ensure that it does not slip during installation. Issues can occur when the NVLD switch is pressed too far into the canister, then pulled back out in an attempt to align the NVLD switch in the mounting holes. Do not apply any lubricant between the sensor and grommet.

If the grommet allows the plastic port to extend past the grommet (A), this can cause installation issues (B).
