Some 2007-2018 Toyota Tundra trucks may exhibit a popping noise during right-hand or left-hand front door operation. This noise may be due to a fracture/crack in the plastic over-mold of the door check arm by the pivot area. Inspect the arm for signs of cracks/fractures etc. Also confirm the torque value of all three check arm mounting fasteners. If damage is found, replace the check arm. If no cracks are found and torque values are not within specification, correct the torque values and re-inspect. If the noise still exists, replace the check arm.
Verify torque value of bolt (1) is at 21 ft-lb, and nuts (2) is at 75 in-lb.
