Some 2011-2016 Toyota Sienna vehicles may exhibit sliding door front and rear latches simultaneously not latching due to the PSD 25 Amp fuse becoming open. The fuse and junction block covers have been changed to address this.

REPLACE 25a PSD FUSE WITH A 30A FUSE

Before starting the fuse replacement, check the sliding door hinge, upper/lower rail and weather strip condition. If any abnormalities are found, repair as needed.

Check the power sliding door operation, the easy closer operation and front and rear latch function. If all functions are inoperative, continue with the procedure. If not, perform the needed diagnosis and repair.

Open the fuse box cover in the engine compartment and remove the fuse pullout tool.

Remove the junction block cover under the instrument panel.

Remove the PSD RH & LH 25A (white) fuses from the fuse slots with the pullout tool. If one of the fuses is open, swap the 25A mini fuses. Check power sliding door function. Is the 25A fuse still open? If yes, diagnose and repair for shorting the circuit. If no, continue to Step 6.

Install the 30A mini fuses into the junction slots for PSD RH & LH.

Install a new junction block cover.

Return the pullout tool to the fuse box in the engine compartment and install the fuse box cover.

Disconnect the negative battery terminal. Wait for 60 seconds, then connect the negative cable. Torque the cable connector to 48 in-lb.

Initialize all affected systems. Refer to TIS applicable model and year repair manual.

Check power sliding door operation, the easy closer operation, and the front and rear latch operation. If all functions are operative, perform Health Check using Techstream and confirm that there are DTC present. Note: Techstream software version 12.10.018 or later is required. If the 30A mini fuse opened, diagnose for shorting the circuit.

For 2011-2014 model year vehicles, apply the 2 fuse size stickers (30A) over the Ampere rating boxes of both PSD LH and PSD RH on the appropriate service manual page.

If fuses are upgraded to 30A, replace the junction box cover(s) with the updated covers.
