Chevy Trans Solenoid Connection

This bulletin applies to 2019 Chevy Corvette, 2019 Silverado, 2018-2019 Camaro, 2018-2019 Colorado and 2018 Express vehicles, equipped with the 8L45 or 8L90 automatic transmission.

This bulletin applies to 2019 Chevy Corvette, 2019 Silverado, 2018-2019 Camaro, 2018-2019 Colorado and 2018 Express vehicles, equipped with the 8L45 or 8L90 automatic transmission. The electrical connector to the transmission valve body solenoids may not have been fully seated. DTC P2718 or P2720 may set, resulting in the check engine indicator on and the transmission reverting to limp home mode providing limited forward gear selection.

Remove the transmission fluid pan. Locate the two valve body solenoid connectors toward the front of the vehicle. Press each firmly to ensure proper seating. Reinstall the pan and fill with transmission fluid.
