Fleet Maintenance Editor David A. Kolman won a 2016 Folio: Eddie Award in the B-to-B -- Single Article -- Transportation category for his December 2015 print feature article "How Interstate Distributor evolves its maintenance operations from lessons learned."
SouthComm's Vehicle Repair Group, which is comprised of Fleet Maintenance, Professional Tool and Equipment News (PTEN) and Professional Distributor magazines, also earned multiple Folio: Eddie and Ozzie Honorable Mentions for its recent editorial and design work.
PTEN's 2016 Aftermarket Profile, which appeared in the March issue of the magazine, garnered an Honorable Mention in the B-to-B -- Feature Design -- Above 100,000 Circulation category. Also securing Honorable Mentions were the July 2015 issue of Fleet Maintenance in the B-to-B -- Full Issue -- Transportation category and Fleet Maintenance Managing Editor Mike Schmidt's February 2016 feature "The most common CSA violations and how to avoid them."
For more than 20 years, the Eddie & Ozzie Awards have recognized excellence in magazine editorial and design across all sectors of the industry. Folio:'s awards program returned to the 2016 Folio: Show, where hundreds of magazine media executives gathered to celebrate the very best in design and journalism.
A panel of more than 300 judges narrowed 2,800 entries into a pool of approximately 1,000 finalists. In total, more than 250 awards were given out across 33 categories. The awards are broken into four main categories: Eddies and Eddies Digital for the best in print and digital editorial, and Ozzies and Ozzies Digital for the best in magazine and website design.
