Sonnhalter and Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity are coming together again for the 12th Annual Sonnhalter Tool Drive.
The tool drive spans from Aug. 1- 31. Sonnhalter is encouraging organizations, businesses, and manufacturers to donate extra inventory, demo models, tools, and building materials to help Habitat for Humanity in its efforts to eliminate substandard housing. Over the past decade, Sonnhalter has raised over $310,000 in donations for the cause.
The donated items will be used in one of two ways, either used for Habitat for Humanity projects or will be sold at one of the organization's Restores, a recycled building materials store. Any proceeds from Restore sales will be put to use for building and rehabilitating homes for those in need. Since 1987, Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity has built over 300 homes and works with over 3,000 volunteers, who give more than 93,000 hours of service per year to help improve Cleveland's most distressed neighborhoods.
“We never imagined how big the tool drive would become. Over a decade later, we are still working with our wonderful partners at the Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity,” said Matt Sonnhalter, vision architect at Sonnhalter. “Since our efforts began in 2010, we are once again counting on the generosity of our clients and business colleagues, as well as businesses to clean out their extra inventory, overstocked materials, and demo models, and donate to this very worthy cause. We’re looking forward to exceeding the donations of past years.”
