Over 30,000 ADAS calibrations performed using the Mitchell Diagnostics Platform

March 18, 2022
Mitchell reaches a new milestone as the demand for equipment that allows shops to efficiently perform ADAS calibrations in-house grows.

In just over a year since the introduction of the MD-TS21 ADAS target calibration system, Mitchell's Mitchell Diagnostics platform has been used to perform more than 30,000 dynamic and static calibrations.

“This latest milestone reinforces our position as a leader in collision repair diagnostics and demonstrates how we’re helping customers return drivers to the road, both safely and efficiently,” said Jack Rozint, senior vice president of repair sales at Mitchell.

Combining the Mitchell MD-500 scan tool with the MD-TS21 gives technicians the ability to not only perform dynamic calibrations on over 1,000 vehicles models but also perform static calibrations on hundreds of vehicles equipped with ADAS.

“With the rapid increase in vehicle complexity, demand has never been greater for a comprehensive diagnostic solution that supports scanning, static and dynamic calibration, and repair blueprinting,” said Rozint.

As ADAS cameras and sensors appear more and more frequently on the road, the need for equipment that allows technicians to properly calibrate those sensors and cameras after a collision is more important than ever. Technicians must also be aware that even cameras and sensors not directly damaged in a collision could need recalibrating. By using Mitchell's Mitchell Diagnostic platform technicians are able to keep this kind of ADAS work in-house, allowing them to have greater control over the repairs being done. It can also assist shops in reducing cycle time, enhancing customer satisfaction, and generating additional revenue by not relying on sublet services.
