Michael G. Weaver, president of Walker Products and member of the Automotive Sales Council, died on Nov. 23 after a long battle with prostate cancer. Mike, 69, was born and raised in St. Louis, Mo., and graduated from the University of Missouri.
Mike began his career in the automotive aftermarket industry when he was hired at Borg-Warner/Ballwin-Washington. In 1985, he had an opportunity to move west and invest in a small carburetion component manufacturer in Los Angeles named Walker Products. He was a true visionary whose leadership skills in strategic planning and marketing directed his team to become a global manufacturer and distributor of quality automotive products. With manufacturing and distribution facilities in the USA, Mexico, APAC and the UK, Walker Products remains family-owned and operated, with over 400 team members servicing over 1,400 customers worldwide. The management team, which includes Mike’s three sons, Jeffrey, Matthew, and Scott, remain committed to fulfilling Mike’s legacy, plans, and continue his mission of teamwork, appreciation, and growth for all Walker team members and partners.
The visitation and Requiem Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Jan. 14, 2023, at Most Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eureka, Mo.
