AAPEX announced that nominations are now open for the 2024 AAPEX Service and Repair Awards. The three categories open are Shop Owner of the Year, Service Advisor of the Year, and Technician of the Year. The awards were originally created in 2020 to recognize the contributions and services provided by members of the industry.

Anyone can nominate candidates for the three awards on AAPEX's website. Nominations are due by August 15, 2024. The nominees will be judged by an independent panel of service and repair shop owners, and winners will be announced during the opening Keynote Breakfast at this year's AAPEX on November 5, 2024 at The Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum in Las Vegas.

Last year, Shop Owner of the Year was awarded to Roy Foster of Roy Foster's Automotive in Reno, Nevada. Service Advisor of the Year went to Greg Damon, general manager of Sparks Tire & Auto in St. Charles, Missouri. Technician of the Year was awarded to master technician Michael Miller of CarMax West Sahara in Las Vegas.
