SKF Automotive announced the opening of its online tech center to the North American aftermarket, giving users access to E-learning courses, a video library, a document library, and other resources to technicians and aftermarket members.
“The purpose of the tech center is to both provide technical training resources for the mechanics and parts pros who work with SKF aftermarket products, as well as to allow these professionals to become more familiar with all the products and support resources that SKF has to offer them,” said Isabella Nordström, marketing manager for SKF Vehicle Aftermarket.
The tech center's E-learning courses consist of self-paced, video-based learning modules that cover topics such as bearings, wheel end service, and other areas. There are 19 learning modules currently available, and users can receive a certificate of completion after each module's exam.
The video library is made up of 595 videos, including tips and instructions on repair and parts replacement procedures and videos on SKF's latest technologies and innovations.
The center also offers a document library where users can download and view tech tips, catalogs, brochures, and other product literature. The library requires registration but is free and available to anyone who registers.
