The ASE Training Managers Council (ATMC) honored General Motors (GM) and Vertex Professional Services (VPS) with its "Grand Award" for outstanding training programs. GM and VPS were honored for their GM Service Technical College GM Academy program.
Additionally, Automotive Video Innovations (AVI) and Raritan Valley Community College received National Excellence in Training awards. AVI was recognized for its enhanced networking diagnostics training program while Raritan was honored for its automotive technology, associate of applied science program.
"We are honored to recognize GM and VPS with our top distinction, the 'Grand Award' for exemplary training," said Matt Shepanek, president of ATMC. "ASE would also like to congratulate AVI and Raritan Valley Community College for their exceptional training efforts, earning them both the National Excellence in Training awards. This year brought 11 high-quality submissions, and the competition was very close with less than one point separating the top five finishers. We extend our gratitude to all the organizations that contributed by providing valuable training programs for their customers and students."
The awards were presented at the ATMC reception held during AAPEX inLas Vegas. These awards are given annually to recognize highly effective or innovative training programs and to emphasize the importance of training to the success of the transportation industry.
