Pro-Cut International announced the release of the X19 cordless on-car brake lathe, the first of its kind to use a 48-volt 50Ah rechargeable battery. The X19 was introduced at NADA and features a lithium iron phosphate battery that includes protection from overcharge, over-discharge, short circuit, over-current, and high temperatures. It can run for over eight hours of operating time, or machine up to 30 discs, on a single charge, though it can be plugged into wall power as well.
The X19 can be used with a wide variety of modern vehicles, including trucks with speed-sensitive locking rear axles. It uses a computer system capable of disc tracking, maintenance alerts, variable speed control, and battery management.
What people are saying
Jeff Hastings, president of Pro-Cut, said, “The X19 is a huge step forward in on-vehicle rotor matching. Users can expect smooth operation, tighter run-out tolerances, and superior surface finishes without ever tripping over a power cord. Shops will quickly see a return on their investment thought increased productivity, reduced costs, and enhanced customer satisfaction.”
