Streamlight announces upgraded scene light with 10,000 lm

March 20, 2025
The Portable Scene Light and Portable Scene Light EXT now offer up to 10,000 lm.

Streamlight announced that its Portable Scene Light and Portable Scene Light EXT work lights have been upgraded, nearly doubling their brightness output from 5,300 lm to 10,000 lm. The company designed a new head with 12 LEDs and wide-pattern reflectors to create a uniform flood beam with three selectable light output intensities.

The scene lights now provide 10,000 lm, 95,000 candela, and a 616m beam with a two-hour runtime on high. Medium offers 5,400 lm, 49,500 candela, and a 445m beam for four hours, while the low setting provides 2,000 lm, 22,450 candela, and a 300m beam for 12 hours.

The new head rotates and attaches to a telescoping pole for adjustable lighting, with the Portable Scene Light extending up to 72" and the Portable Scene Light EXT extending up to 84". Stabilizing legs provide balance in uneven or windy conditions. They operate on a rechargeable 12V lead acid battery, which is rechargeable up to 500 times, or they can operate indefinitely plugged into an AC or DC power source.

The line is IP67-rated for dust and water resistance, allowing for 30 minutes of submersion in 1m of water. Both come with heavy duty shoulder straps for transport, an AC charger, a 12V DC cord, and a limited lifetime warranty.

What people are saying

Streamlight President Michael F. Dineen said, “The Portable Scene Light family now delivers nearly twice the brightness, making it an even more effective tool for use at first responder scenes or demanding job sites. With a high output of 10,000 lumens, an extended run time of up to 12 hours, and the ability to run indefinitely on AC or DC power, these lights ensure uninterrupted illumination when and where it’s needed most. Their rapid deployment, telescoping poles, and stabilizing legs make them indispensable for firefighters, utility workers, and industrial professionals.”
