Hunter Engineering announces PBS Systems integration for inspection equipment

April 5, 2025
The integration will reduce the gap between performing inspections and amending a service order.

Hunter Engineering announced that it would be integrating its unmanned inspection equipment with dealership management software supplier PBS Systems. The partnership allows service providers to attach digital inspection results to a service order, giving customers seamless updates and increased transparency while expanding service opportunities for dealerships.

Hunter Quick Tread Edge results can be used to populate tire wear inspections, and PBS users utilizing the Tire Storage feature can use Quick Tread Edge data to populate tire diameter and remaining tire depth. It only takes seconds for Hunter's Quick Check Drive inspection system to provide accurate and detailed alignment and tire tread measurements as a vehicle travels through the service lane.

Hunter Inspection Product Manager Mike Brecht explained, “Importing that data into the PBS systems service advisors are already using will help dealerships sell more of those opportunities.”

What people are saying

Senior Vice President of Sales at PBS Systems Lynn McNeill said, “With the combined efforts of PBS and Hunter, a new level of digital service has been achieved. Our v10 service software now incorporates Hunter’s alignment and tread data, providing guests in the service drive with a comprehensive presentation, including pictures and video.”
