Partnership gives Bergstrom access to extensive range of "off-the-shelf" heating and air-conditioning products.

Bergstrom Inc., a global leader in the design and supply of climate systems to the commercial vehicle industry, announced a partnership with SEA SRL, the Italy-based specialist designer and manufacturer of heavy duty mobile air-conditioning systems.

This partnership will give Bergstrom access to an extensive range of "off-the-shelf" heating and air-conditioning products to compliment their existing vast range of custom-built OEM systems.

"The design and specifications of the SEA products means they can be used for universal applications," said Graham Cook, Managing Director of Bergstrom Europe. "The products are particularly suited for low- and medium-volume applications where the cost of tooling for custom solutions would be prohibitive."

The exclusive agreement means the SEA range of products will be available from all of Bergstrom's global facilities, including its global partners and dealer networks in the following territories:

  • Australia
  • Belgium
  • China
  • Czech Republic
  • India
  • Japan
  • Middle East
  • New Zealand
  • North America
  • Norway
  • Russia
  • Slovakia
  • South Africa
  • South America
  • Sweden
  • Turkey

Excluding existing SEA customers, this agreement also allows Bergstrom to sell the full range of SEA products to both existing and new potential customers in the following territories:

  • France
  • Germany
  • Finland
  • Austria
  • Israel
  • Greece
  • UK

In addition, this partnership will provide Bergstrom with a Sales and Technical support facility in Italy. This will augment local support to existing Italian customers, and serve as a platform from which to effectively compete for new business throughout mainland Europe. It will also enhance warehousing, design and development including rapid prototyping, complete system development and climatic testing in the in-house environmental chamber.
