Isuzu Commercial Truck of America, Inc., distributor of America's best-selling low-cab forward trucks, announced that it will cover all scheduled maintenance for two years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first, on new Isuzu N-Series diesel trucks sold during the program period of October 1, - December 31, 2013.
The 24/60 Covered Maintenance Program includes an initial "dry" inspection service at 4,000 miles, followed by six additional maintenance services beginning at 10,000 miles.
"We are already highly respected for lowering the cost of medium-duty truck ownership," said Shaun Skinner, Isuzu executive vice president and general manager. "The 24/60 Covered Maintenance Program is simply the latest example of Isuzu's commitment to driving down the cost of operation for our owners."
The Isuzu 24/60 Covered Maintenance Program includes:
- A dry inspection service at 4,000 miles consisting of tire pressure adjustment, brake pad life estimation, fluid level checks, and inspection of multiple points inside, outside and under the truck's cab and body. Isuzu will also provide the customer with its proprietary Vehicle Health Report that details the current operating status of major components and can isolate issues before they become problems.
- Five full maintenance services at 10,000-mile intervals beginning at 10,000 miles, consisting of engine oil and oil filter changes, fuel filter replacement, tire rotation and pressure adjustment, transmission and diesel exhaust fluid level checks, brake pad and brake shoe life estimates, washer fluid top-off, lubrication of king pins, U-joints, sleeves and center bearings, and much more including the Vehicle Health Report.
- A comprehensive maintenance service at 50,000 miles that includes the 10,000-mile service plus air conditioning filter cleaning, wiper blade filler replacement, valve cover, EGR gasket and wheel bearing seal replacement, coolant, automatic transmission fluid and differential fluid replacement, and many other maintenance items including the Vehicle Health Report.
Maintenance services can be obtained at any of Isuzu's 294 authorized dealerships throughout the U.S.
"Isuzu diesel engines carry a class leading B10 durability rating of 310,000 miles, meaning that 90% of our engines should reach that mileage before requiring an overhaul," Skinner added. "In addition, our trucks feature a Multi-Information Display that alerts drivers to the status of over a dozen functions, and a Data Recording Module that allows technicians to produce a Vehicle Health Report. When you add in our 36-month basic limited warranty, our available extended warranties up to 250,000 miles, and now the 24/60 Covered Maintenance Program, there's no doubt that Isuzu is the industry leader in lowering the cost of operation and ownership."
