DEARBORN, Mich. - Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD) has launched the 2009 Summer of Savings national rebate program for qualified auto shops.

The Summer of Savings program offers rebates on Genuine Ford and Motorcraft parts valid May through August 2009. The rebates are available exclusively for independent repair facilities, body shops and fleets with in-house repair.

  • Independent repair/body shops: 24 offers worth more than $4,300 in savings.
  • Fleet repair facilities: Unlimited Powertrain assembly savings are available.

The program features rebates on many popular maintenance, light repair and seasonal repair parts that are frequently used at independent installers. Eligible shops are encouraged to register at www.motorcraft.com to download the rebates electronically and start saving.

“The Summer of Savings program is a win-win for independent installers and the vehicle drivers. The program extends money-saving rebates to our wholesale and aftermarket partners, who install quality parts on their customers' vehicles,” noted Dan Bielik, Cross Channel Marketing Manager, FCSD. This is the fourth-consecutive year FCSD sponsored a national wholesale rebate program.

Shops will take three steps to redeem their Summer of Savings rebates:

  1. Purchase an eligible Genuine Ford or Motorcraft part from a Ford or Lincoln Mercury Dealership, Ford Authorized Distributor, or auto parts store (a complete list of parts is available at www.motorcraft.com).
  2. Register and submit the claim by mail or online at www.motorcraft.com.
  3. Receive your check within six to eight weeks.
