Bosch has expanded its existing line of Coil on Plug (COP) Boots by adding 30 new part numbers. These 30 new coil on plug (COP) boots cover 21 million vehicles in operation (VIO) in the United States and Canada and cover a wide range of applications.
They are a direct fit replacement for vehicles which are now equipped with a direct ignition system. The new part numbers cover a variety of Domestic, Asian and European vehicles, including Chrysler, Ford, GM, Ford, Infiniti, Mitsubishi, Mazda, Volvo and BMW.
“What distinguishes Bosch as a manufacturer of aftermarket products is our in-depth experience with the OEMs,” said Timo Reif, Vice President of Automotive Marketing for Robert Bosch LLC. “Many of our aftermarket parts are built on the same production lines and meet our OEM engineering standards for form, fit and function. Bosch coil on plug boots, too, are manufactured to provide our customers with the highest quality and reliability,” he said.
With increasing number of vehicles utilizing this technology, Bosch has added these part numbers in anticipation of a growing demand. Bosch recommends replacing the ignition coil boots with any spark plug replacement (where applicable) to ensure optimal vehicle performance and proper connectivity from the ignition coil to the spark plug.
All of the Bosch coil on plug boot applications can be found in the company’s most recent ACES/PIES catalog for April 2013 and are available through regular distribution channels. For more information, visit www.boschautoparts.com/NPC.
