The Parts Authority Inc., a large distributor of automotive and truck parts on the East Coast, has purchased BAP Auto Parts, a chain of import parts stores.

The deal was closed on Nov. 15 and Parts Authority took over operations on Nov. 17, according to Randy Buller, president and CEO of Parts Authority, which is based in New York and is a National Pronto Association member.

“BAP auto parts brings Parts Authority a vast influx of import parts expertise as well as inventory and several strategic locations in the Phoenix area,” Buller said. “We are also extremely pleased with the level of parts professionals and the quality of the operation that BAP maintained. This is truly a first class operation and we intend on growing our business with the help of this exceptional team.”

BAP has nine stores in Arizona, according to its website.
