Interamerican Motor Corporation (IMC), an AutoZone company, has honored DENSO Products and Services Americas (DPAM), a division of leading global automotive supplier DENSO Corp., with its inaugural Vendor of the Year Award.

IMC, the leading distributor of original equipment (OE)-quality import replacement parts, unveiled the award at its 28th Annual Golf Invitational held Oct. 12 at the Industry Hills Golf Club in the City of Industry, Calif.

“We are tremendously grateful for this award, which honors our entire team,” said Frank Cisek, senior manager of Aftermarket Sales. “To be chosen as IMC’s first recipient recognizes an exemplary level of customer satisfaction DENSO is committed to providing every day.”

IMC President John Mosunic and Vice President of Merchandising Kevin McCloskey announced the award at the event, which welcomed more than 150 industry vendors and customers. DENSO management Taketo Shiotani, Jose Ramirez and Alan Lupinetti joined Cisek in accepting the honor.

In establishing its Vendor of the Year Award, IMC evaluated vendors based on product availability, profitability of product lines and convenience of payment terms. Ease of working with a vendor during AutoZone Inc.’s recent acquisition of IMC and the overall quality of the business relationship between IMC and its vendors were also key criteria.
