Dayco announces sponsorship of Don Schumacher Racing, release of new supercharger belt
Dayco engineers have formulated a winning combination. Using a hybrid carbon cord encapsulated in custom rubber compounds and adding their patented low friction PTFE tooth fabric, Dayco racing blower belts are designed to withstand some of the highest dynamic loads in racing and bring home the win. This new technology will be applied throughout Dayco’s other products where maximum performance is required.
In addition to their latest development, Dayco is excited to announce their partnership with Don Schumacher Racing (DSR), the NHRA’s winningest organization and the only one to have won national event titles in each of NHRA’s four professional categories: Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle. Dayco and DSR have agreed to a two year contract in which DSR will exclusively be using the Dayco Racing supercharger belt.
“We value this partnership and the opportunity to work with such a dedicated organization within the racing industry. This will play a key role in our research and development, as we continue to move forward with innovative solutions, making this a win-win for both Dayco and DSR,” said Yann Taurel, vice president of industrial aftermarket sales.
Don Schumacher Racing, headquartered near Indianapolis in Brownsburg, Ind., fields seven professional NHRA teams in the Mello Yello Drag Racing Series and has won 333 NHRA national event titles and 17 world championships.
“We’re excited about our new partnership with Dayco and are proud to announce that Don Schumacher Motorsports will be the exclusive distributor for the Dayco Racing blower belt. We worked with Dayco to help develop this new belt and our teams were pleased with the performance. Don Schumacher Racing and Don Schumacher Motorsports look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with such an innovative company,” said Don Schumacher, owner Don Schumacher Racing and Don Schumacher Motorsports.About Dayco
