Christian Brothers Automotive is putting Lexington residents in the driver’s seat when it comes to car care and repair with the grand opening of a new location at 148 Old Cherokee Road.

To officially welcome the community to discover enjoyable, quality car care, Christian Brothers is giving away one free year of oil changes and hosting a special grand opening event on Wednesday, Feb. 6, with a ribbon cutting ceremony, a raffle and lunch.

“We are excited to build strong relationships based on integrity and trust with the residents of Lexington and to get to know the people we serve on a regular basis,” said Joshua Standridge, owner of Christian Brothers Automotive in Lexington. “We look forward to growing our business, and aim to become the primary automotive repair shop in Lexington through personal care and continued community outreach.”

Christian Brothers is pleased to partner with the Greater Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center for the ceremonial ribbon cutting at 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 6. Afterward, guests can enjoy a BBQ lunch, raffle prizes and complimentary goody bags. Additionally, customers who visit Christian Brothers Automotive Lexington the week of Feb. 3 – 8 can enter to win a year of free oil changes.

A Lexington native, Standridge is a National Guardsman going on his fourteenth year of military service. Prior to opening Christian Brothers in Lexington, Standridge worked in nuclear engineering for the U.S. Navy and as a project manager for Westinghouse International. A father of three, Standridge understands the value of hard work and continued persistence. He looks forward to establishing long-standing relationships with his customers built on respect and a mutual understanding.

Each new opening gives us an opportunity to define what automotive repair means to a community, and to lessen the stress on customers who depend on their vehicles every day,” said Mark Carr, founder and CEO of Christian Brothers Automotive. “I’m confident that Joshua’s passion for providing quality service makes him a perfect fit for the Lexington area.”

The new shop, situated at 148 Old Cherokee Road, joins more than 190 Christian Brothers Automotive locations across the nation, all of which are based on the same guiding principle: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Based on a business model that believes taking your car to be serviced shouldn’t be chore, Christian Brothers offers a wide array of services, from simple upkeep and maintenance to preventative services addressing issues that would otherwise require more expensive repair and replacement down the road.
