DEI, thermal specialists for the automotive aftermarket since 1995, now offers a new way to protect heat sensitive components and reduce underhood and interior heat with the introduction of Form-A-Barrier. DEI’s Form-A-Barrier is a lightweight, rigid, yet easily formable thermal barrier that can be used for odd shaped areas on any vehicle – automotive or powersports.  The barrier works as an ideal solution to protect critical underhood components from engine and exhaust heat.

Designed with high temperature foam with reflective material on both sides, Form-A-Barrier provides protection up to 1300°F, with a minimal gap of only one inch from the heat source. The rigid sheet can be easily formed by hand to fit; simply fasten with either pins, screws or bolts for long lasting protection. The 12” x 12”, 3/16” thick Form-A-Barrier sheet, part #011002, has a MSRP of $21.25 and is available wherever DEI innovative thermal and acoustic products are sold. Custom sizes are also available upon request. For more information about DEI’s full line of heat protection products, visit DesignEngineering.com, call 800-264-9472, or e-mail: [email protected].
