Fluid RX announces A/C PAG oil test

Aug. 11, 2023
The company says it can help reduce air conditioning job comebacks.

Fluid RX Diagnostics released a PAG oil test for air conditioner compressors.

The company says that the primary reason for compressor failure is the breakdown of refrigerant lubrication, referred to as PAG oil, and the wear debris this leaves behind. The test can verify that a newly installed air conditioner compressor's refrigerant is free of debris.

"For compressor manufacturers this is the silver bullet of ‘Warranty Medication Programs’ that helps identify improperly installed units that may not meet warranty requirements," according to a press release.
