Federal-Mogul Motorparts added more than 800 part numbers to its Moog steering and suspension brand in 2014. The company says the record-breaking expansion of coverage includes nearly 600 additional control arms and assemblies representing in excess of 470 million potential parts replacement opportunities.

The company says the Moog product line grew by a total of 835 part numbers, with dramatically expanded coverage of foreign nameplate and domestic models. In addition to 597 new control arm and assembly part numbers, the brand introduced 49 additional tie rods, 42 bushings/kits, 47 wheel hub assemblies, 22 stabilizer link kits, 17 complete strut assemblies and dozens of other parts for popular late-model applications now entering the aftermarket repair cycle.

Now with nearly 2,000 control arm part numbers covering a vast majority of North American passenger vehicles, the company says the Moog brand is the coverage leader in one of the industry’s fastest growing product categories.

Federal-Mogul Motorparts also expanded its range of Moog wheel hub assemblies, with additional coverage of popular late-model applications from Acura, Chrysler, Ford, Honda, Kia, Mazda, Nissan, Toyota, and other manufacturers. Moog complete strut assemblies – engineered to improve vehicle dynamics, provide a smoother ride and help ensure faster, easier installation – were introduced for Dodge Ram, Ford Escape, Mazda Tribute, Toyota Sequoia, and Volkswagen Beetle, Golf and Jetta models as well as other popular applications.

“This record year in product introductions builds on the Moog brand’s promise of exceptional coverage combined with innovative, problem-solving designs that offer superior strength and performance and which help ensure easier installation,” says Mark Boyle, director, steering and suspension products, North America, Federal-Mogul Motorparts.

Moog products are manufactured by Federal-Mogul Motorparts, a division of Federal-Mogul Holdings Corp.
