The Scotseal X-Treme wheel-end seal new design features include optimized primary and axial lip profiles, metal unitizer geometry and an upgraded HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) lip material which enhances the performance of SKF’s unique wave lip design. Collectively, these new features improve pumping so it runs 25% to 30% cooler and provides 50% less torque, all contributing to improved fuel economy.
