The easy-to-use app allows techs to scan the VIN barcode on most vehicle driver doors. The more than 40 fields of vehicle information includes year, make, model, engine, body type, weight, horsepower, factory warranty and recalls.
Since 1981 vehicles have been required to have VIN codes. VIN-SCAN provides information to help verify the scheduled maintenance recommended and vehicle specifications for ordering the right parts, says FDP.
