Askey named NAPA Auto Parts president

NAPA Auto Parts has appointed Dan Askey president.

NAPA Auto Parts has appointed Dan Askey president.

Askey spent the past 32 years working in various roles within Genuine Parts Co. (GPC) and its Automotive Parts Group.  (GPC is a NAPA member company.) Most recently, Askey served as senior vice president of sales in the organization’s Atlanta headquarters.

As NAPA Auto Parts president, Askey will report directly to Paul Donahue, U.S. Automotive Parts Group president, and serve as NAPA’s primary spokesperson for the aftermarket industry. He also will oversee several sales responsibilities including: NAPA AutoCare, major accounts, Systems Selling Group, IBS and Latin America. 

During his tenure at Automotive Parts Group, Askey held numerous managerial and operations posts, including: operations manager, general manager, Mountain Division vice president, group vice president for the Western Group, as well as president of Balkamp.
