The Equipment and Tool Institute (ETI) will present its 2018 ToolTech event April 30 – May 3 at Loews Ventana Canyon in Tucson, Ariz.

The Equipment and Tool Institute (ETI) will present its 2018 ToolTech event April 30 – May 3 at Loews Ventana Canyon in Tucson, Ariz.

”It’s no secret that the automotive industry is ever-changing,” notes the ETI. “While the purpose of vehicles remains the same – getting from point A to point B -- advanced technologies and consumer demand play a major role in the cars on the road today and what systems tomorrow’s cars will include.” 

Attendee opportunities at ToolTech include networking with industry peers, meetings with potential customers and presentations by industry leaders.

ETI will present:

* Economic outlook speaker William Strauss,senior economist and economic advisor for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.

* Legislative update speaker Chris Gardner, vice president, programs and member services, member satisfaction, Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA).

* Automotive technology trends speaker Mark Seng, HIS Markit, global aftermarket practice leader - automotive.

ETI member companies can request prearranged, private, closed door meetings with specific OEM personnel, ETI companies, automotive service providers, manufacturers, distributors, and others. “This is your opportunity to meet with key people in the industry, introduce your company, and discuss your products and services,” says ETI.

ETI also will have a company spotlight happy hour at ToolTech at which exhibitors have the opportunity to display their products and services to attendees, speakers and industry guests. Additional networking opportunities include an opening reception, closing dinner, lunches and the National Automotive Service Task Force (NASTF) meeting on Monday, April 30.

“Emerging technologies are changing the landscape of the automotive industry as we know it and vehicles are developing into more intelligent, sophisticated machines,” says the ETI. “These advances impact the way the automotive industry operates. New features and technologies including infotainment, advanced safety systems, self-driving systems, fuel cells, security, and the IoT (Internet of Things) are all part of a new reality that aims to make cars smarter, safer, and more enjoyable.
