GB Remanufacturing Inc. celebrated Reman Day on April 13 with remanufacturers around the world. Reman Day aims to raise awareness for the remanufacturing industry and its benefits for consumers, the economy and the environment.

According to GB Remanufacturing officials, remanufacturing is a standardized industrial process by which previously sold, worn or non-functional products are returned to same-as-new, or better, condition and performance. The process is in line with specific technical specifications, including engineering, quality and testing standards. The process yields fully warranted products that meet or exceed OEM specifications.

"This year we were honored to host APRA to take part in our annual Reman Day celebration,” says Michael Kitching, president and CEO, GB Remanufacturing.

“We have been a proud member of the association since 1990, and it was exciting to showcase our intricate remanufacturing process with APRA President Joe Kripli, a long-time industry friend of ours."

The celebration included a company-wide event where employees gathered to celebrate and learn about the impact of their work.

Every Thursday throughout the month of April, employees wore green shirts to celebrate the “sustainable nature of their work as a remanufacturing company.”

"We believe it is important to educate our team about the significance of what we do every single day," says Kitching. “We take pride in our remanufacturing process, the premium products we produce, and the impact that we have on the world around us. Reman Day celebrates our role as a remanufacturer and motivates us to constantly pursue innovation throughout our process and our products."
