Ford Motor Co.'s electric vehicle sales increased by 117% last month, capping off what the company calls a "new, first-half sales record."
Ford says sales were driven by its Mustang Mach-E, nearly 13,000 of which were sold in June, as well as the company's F-150 Power Boost Hybrid.

Company officials also revealed that more than 100,000 orders have been placed for the Ford F-150 Lightning electric pickup, which will launch in early-2022.
