General Motors

General Motors is recalling a population of 2025–2026 Chevrolet and GMC vehicles due to a damaged parking brake wiring harness. The defect can cause the electronic parking brake to engage unexpectedly or fail to hold the vehicle, increasing the risk of a rollaway or crash. Dealers will inspect and replace the harness as necessary under NHTSA Campaign ID 26V-031.

Volkswagen

Volkswagen is recalling 44,551 ID.4 electric SUVs from the 2023–2025 model years due to high-voltage battery modules that may overheat. The issue stems from misaligned electrodes in battery cell modules supplied by SK Battery America, which could lead to a thermal event or vehicle fire. Dealers will perform battery health checks and install self-discharge detection software, with battery module replacement if necessary, under NHTSA Campaign ID 26V-030.

Ford

Ford has issued a recall for certain 2026 Explorer SUVs regarding improperly bonded windshields. In the affected vehicles, the windshield may not be adequately secured to the vehicle body, which could cause it to detach during a collision. This detachment increases the risk of occupant injury and may interfere with proper airbag deployment. Owners can reference this action via NHTSA Campaign ID 26V-032.

Nissan

Nissan North America is recalling 26,432 vehicles, including the 2025 Altima, Sentra, Frontier, and the 2026 Kicks, because of improperly welded door strikers. These components may break, allowing the vehicle doors to open unexpectedly while in motion or failing to stay latched during an accident. Dealers will replace the door strikers free of charge under NHTSA Campaign ID 26V-023.

Hyundai

Hyundai is recalling 83,877 Genesis vehicles from the 2025–2026 model years, specifically G80, GV60, GV70, and GV80 models. A software error in the central logic may cause the digital instrument cluster to go blank, failing to display critical safety information such as speed and warning lights. Dealers will provide a software update to resolve the issue under NHTSA Campaign ID 26V-019.
