CTEK acquires the Inelco Group battery charging business

  CTEK Group announced the acquisition of the Inelco Group’s battery charging business. The deal became effective on Nov. 1, 2013, and was announced Nov. 8 at the 2013 SEMA Show.

CTEK develops, markets and sells lead acid and lithium ion battery chargers.  CTEK introduced the first switch-mode technology based battery charger and is currently the global market leader. The acquisition of the battery charging business from Inelco A/S will strengthen CTEK Group’s business and increase its competitiveness mainly within the professional and industrial segments, the company said.

Inelco Group consists of the Danish company Inelco A/S and the Polish company Inelco Polska Sp. z.o.o. The company has 30 employees.
