Bosch is introducing new Bosch Original Equipment (BOE) platforms for its premium aftermarket turbine fuel pump modules. Covering select passenger car (BOE-C) and truck (BOE-T) applications, these fuel pumps bring the benefits of advanced Bosch turbine fuel pump technology to late-model vehicles and to many earlier applications with fuel pumps built on older technology.

“The new Bosch OE-platform portfolio will offer service technicians the best value in the market in terms of quality, coverage and price point when replacing fuel modules for a select group of applications,” said Jarod Adams, Manager Product Marketing, Gasoline Systems, Robert Bosch LLC Aftermarket North America.

According to Adams, “These products for the aftermarket are manufactured on the same production lines as their OE equivalents. Technicians can, therefore, be confident that they are installing modules that are similar in quality, fit and function to OE fuel modules.

“The superior design and industry-leading electromagnetic shielding of Bosch Turbine Fuel Pumps virtually eliminate fuel pulsation and noise, reduce hot start problems and prevent onboard electronics interference. In addition, the core components of the turbine design never come in contact with one another, significantly reducing wear and delivering a longer service life.”

Thirty-six BOE-T part numbers will be available in the Bosch fourth quarter 2014 catalog. The BOE-C platform is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2015, for a total of over 40 new BOE fuel pump modules in both platforms.

These fuel pump module assemblies are designed to fit late-model domestic vehicles, including, 2010-2012 Chevrolet Express/GMC Savana 1500 and 2500, 2009-2011 Chevrolet Colorado/Canyon, 2009-2012 Ford Escape/Mercury Mariner and more.

“Bosch supplied the industry’s first fuel injection system with a high-pressure electric fuel pump in 1967. Since then Bosch has been at the forefront of fuel system technology and supplies fuel pumps to virtually every vehicle manufacturer worldwide,” Adams said.
