Toyota recalls 2,700 vehicles for loose wheels

June 27, 2022
Toyota is recalling certain EVs vehicles.

Toyota announced the recall of 2,700 of its first mass-produced EVs. The announcement comes following news from the automaker that sudden braking or sharp turns could cause loose wheels posing a drivability risk for motorists, according to Reuters.

The recall affects 2,200 vehicles slated for European distribution, 260 headed to the United States, 10 for Canada, and 110 for Japan.

Drivers are urged to park their vehicles until Toyota finds a more "permanent" repair measure.
