The Workhorse Group opens pre-order for the W-15 electric pickup truck, previously available only to fleets.
According to a company newsletter, the refundable cost to pre-order a Workhorse W-15 is $1000 per truck. The purchase price of the vehicle is estimated at $52,500 and is expect to be eligible under current legislation for a $7,500 tax credit for U.S. citizens.
As for the 5,300 trucks previously pre-ordered by fleet operators? Delivery will start late 2018, according to the company.
CES 2018
The Workhorse Group is currently displaying the W-15 pickup at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas (Booth No. 31). CES is the largest electronics show in North America, and is routinely the launch pad for new technology products.
They are also featuring the N-GEN electric step van.
