Up Close: Streamlight Multi-Function Work Light

Sept. 14, 2022
The BearTrap serves as a multi-function work light, offering bright white light in spot and flood modes and multiple hands-free options for illuminating hard-to-reach places.

Application

The Streamlight BearTrap serves as a multi-function work light, offering bright white light in spot and flood modes and multiple hands-free options for illuminating hard-to-reach places, such as under a vehicle or when troubleshooting equipment repairs. Weighing only 2 lbs, 3 oz., the light can also be easily stowed for making roadside repairs.

Features and benefits

The unique design of the BearTrap allows it to clamp to virtually any flat, round, or irregular surface to illuminate hard-to-reach places, such as under the hood of a car. The versatile spot and flood beams allow technicians to focus on a specific work area or illuminate larger areas with up to 2,000 lm of bright, white light. It adjusts for easy positioning and with its rubberized construction prevents scratches when clamped to surfaces like a car hood. And because it uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, the BearTrap also offers extremely low operating costs and reaches places that other corded lights may not.

Origin

The light was developed to provide a single work light that would serve multiple needs. The light rotates 270 degrees in its frame and clamps to virtually any surface, or stands on its own, giving the automotive professional a work light that adapts to any automotive repair, work, or rescue situation.
