The Launch Tech USA BST Series accomplishes battery/charging system electrical tests, in addition to access to the vehicle's OBD system to view and clear DTCs and more. While the BST880D is equipped with AUTOVIN detect, reporting, and live data monitoring and the ability to support four onboard systems (transmission, engine, SRS, and ABS), the BST580D has less capability but still has the ability to perform battery/charging tests and the ability to retrieve and clear DTC’s.
