Application

The DM500MAX is particularly suited to the wide variety of electrical systems found on modern vehicles – low voltage circuits, high voltage circuits, sensor and data circuits, and more. The DM500MAX has the test functions and ranges to cover any test situation with safety in mind.

Features and benefits

  • LoZ voltage readings: prevents false reading from ghost voltage
  • High frequency rejection (LPF): accurate readings of noisy/dirty waveforms
  • dBm/dB measurement: useful for audio system settings
  • Probe alarm: Alerts user for proper probe connections
  • Temperature readings: celsius or fahrenheit displayed (probe included)

Origin

With hybrid and EV battery voltages steadily increasing (now approaching 800VDC,) along with the growing complexity of vehicle computer controls and sensors, Power Probe found the need for a professional-level multimeter that can safely handle both high voltage circuit testing as well as test and measure low voltages and complex waveforms with reliable, repeatable reading accuracy.

Manufacturing/engineering specifications

The product is produced in Taiwan in MGL’s Manufacturing facilities and offers a 2-year warranty. The multimeter is 8.75" tall by 2.5" wide by 7.13" long and weighs 2.8 lbs.
