Origin
One of the KNIPEX engineers in Germany noticed when using competitor snap knifes the thin blade easily bent when extended. He thought there had to be a better design to keep the blade from bending and provide more stability. That’s when he came up with the idea to add a stabilization bar and the idea grew from there.
