This bulletin applies to 2020 Jaguar F-PACE, I-PACE, XE and XF models. The EPB (emergency park brake) may not release once applied.

The EPB applied light may not be on. The ABS, DSC (dynamic stability control) and brake warning light may be on. The “Autonomous Emergency Braking not available” message may be displayed.

This is due to a software error and will occur when the transmission is placed in neutral and the ignition is turned off, with ignition off for 15 minutes or longer. This means that if the driver is making a series of short “neutral IGN off stops” without the vehicle going to sleep in between, when the stop time adds up to 15 minutes the fault will occur.

To clear the fault, the vehicle needs to go through a sleep cycle as follows:

  • IGN on.

  • Place transmission in Park.

  • IGN off.

  • Exit the vehicle and lock it.

  • Wait 15 minutes before re-entering the vehicle.
