Jaguar Stop/Start Issue

This bulletin applies to 2015 Jaguar F-Type, XE, XF and XJ vehicles.

This bulletin applies to 2015 Jaguar F-Type, XE, XF and XJ vehicles. Customers may report while pressing the Auto Stop/Start button, a warning message may be displayed (Auto Stop/Start not available). DTC B12CD-87 will be logged in the gateway module (GWM). The ignition live input into the vehicle quality module (VQM) may have a poor connection, and/or there may be no LIN circuit between the VQM and GWM.

Check the ignition live circuit into VQM 6-way connector, pin 2. Repair as needed. On F-Type and XJ, check LIN circuit between VQM 6-way connector pin 4 and pin 13 of the GWM. Repair as needed. On XE and new XF models, check LIN circuit between VQM 6-way connector pin 4 and pin 58 of the BCM. Repair as needed. If these steps do not resolve the issue, replace the VQM.
