Steve Mancuso joined his fellow automotive gearheads at the epicenter of the aftermarket industry to formally receive his award as Motor Age’s 2024 Best Young Tech during Industry Week in Las Vegas.

Motor Age celebrated Mancuso and the Best Young Tech Award throughout the 2024 edition of AAPEX. His cover image was on display in the Endeavor Business Media booth, and copies of the October edition of Motor Age with Mancuso on the cover were available to attendees at AAPEX as well as visitors to Endeavor’s booth at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show.

The Best Young Tech Award honors automotive technicians who are 35 years old and younger and have at least two years of experience in the trade. The technicians must show evidence of career development and technical or educational achievement, but also play a critical role in their shop and bring innovation to the role.

Mancuso has crossed all those achievements off his professional to-do list as a vehicle and equipment technician III with the Fairfax (Va.) County Department of Vehicle Services. He’s achieved World Class status with the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) and he’s become a go-to problem solver and diagnostician, as well as a mentor and trainer.

As the grand prize winner of the fourth Best Young Tech Award, Mancuso received travel funds and admission to AAPEX and the SEMA Show, as well as prizes from the contest’s sponsors: Duralast, Nexpart, TechForce Foundation and Motor Age Training.
